Drinking cold water can slightly contribute to burning fat by activating brown adipose tissue (brown fat), which burns calories to generate heat, it is not a significant enough factor to solely rely on for weight loss , how does this work?
Brown fat activation:
When exposed to cold temperatures, your body activates brown fat, a type of fat that actively burns calories to produce heat, potentially leading to a small increase in calorie expenditure.
The best time to do this is on an empty stomach, either first thing in the morning or an hour before bed.
